In the spirit of this blog, there is this article from The Onion. For the record, I didn't feel exactly like that. But I will say that I get it, even if it is parody.

Oh i totally get it. It took me nearly 18 months to start to feel a real bond and a relationship developing towards my son. Up until then it was almost entirely a very strong, but largely practical urge and sense of deep obligation to make sure he was safe, clean, fed, watered etc etc. Not exactly Hallmark-worthy. But then again, people who are absolutely ga=ga over infants are freakshows like Nadya Suleman....
